The quick response in solving my issue was appreciated, but the $146 labor charge for a half hour job seemed a bit extreme. That alone would not prohibit me from using Coles in the future.

Installer was supposed to arrive between 9:00 and 11:00 but did not arrive until 11:30--normally not a big deal but I had lunch meeting at 1:00pm to get to. Once he arrived it was clear he was having a bad day--first thing he said was these are 8 foot doors and I carry parts for 7 foot doors--how in the world would I know that??? I'm not in the garage door business.

I'm a bit confused by this review as i was involved in the conversation while my technician was on the way. When he called he was was less than 10 min away (GPS shows he arrived at 11:07) when you had told him that you may need to cancel. I suggested when he arrived, since you stated that this was fine, that he could diagnose the problem, and if you were ok with him commencing work he would do so that you could leave to be on time for your appointment and we could send the bill. You are correct that our tech had made recommendations to replace your springs for an 8' door and we only carry 7' springs stock on your trucks. You also had 3 doors and he would need to return to install the new springs. Rather than him leave your home without providing service he added additional stretch to your springs so that the doors were properly balance. If this caused and inconvenience we do apologize but options were provided prior to arrival.
